I love Van's, but will not be shopping there until they require their employees to wear masks and go through a cleaning protocol between shoppers. It is important that we do these things for all of our community.

24/7 Store that has a great location for many residents. I don't shop for produce their much, but I always stop in if I'm in the area. Their mini tacos got me through many high school lunches.

Awesome staff but products are pricey

Where else can ya get a beer and some groceries at 2am ..

Sad ! Not very friendly at register and a bit surprised at prices. Been awhile since I've been in and don't think I'll be returning except for sales on Meat ! Always has the best meats. Not sure what's happening there , used to be so frie6and my favorite grocery store .

Van's is a community grocery store that I love shopping in. Their staff is is always friendly and wanting to help. My daughter went shopping with me and wanted a donut, when the bakery found out it was her bday, they decorated her donut just for her. The meat department has helped me choose meat just right for what I want over and over again. And the early morning checker (6am) is always friendly and courteous and just makes my morning when I have to grab a few things for the day.

An old time Family grocery store with a great atmosphere and wonderful service.

I observed 3 employees with their face masks pulled down with their noses exposed. The man in the produce department was not only wearing his mask with his nose exposed, he pulled it down completely 3 times in the short time I was walking through his area. I called the manager when I got into my car, and was told said employee had been talked to numerous times but he refused to wear his mask properly but they are too short staffed to fire him. This is the person touching your produce! I will never shop there again.

Usually a big fan of Vans, however, tonight is the 3rd time we have tried to get their chicken from the deli for dinner. All 3 times was right around 6 pm and they have been completely sold out for the day already. Tonight we were told, they will not have more for 2 days. Vans has always been our go to for chicken, however, we have gone elsewhere and have been able to get our dinner right away. Hope the deli will be back to how they used to be.

Stopped in on our way from Utah to Canada looking for a small pair of scissors, the staff was extremely helpful offering help when they saw us reading the isle signs, and again offered help when we decided to see if there were powdered hostess donuts anywhere else, as the display was out, the employee went out of their way to look all around for us without us even asking and very apologetically offering the option of Little Debbie when there weren't any hostess. Many of the reviews complain of the prices but it's not Walmart, it's a local store.

I love all the staff at vans. I have been shopping there for years and everyone is genuinely interested in you as a person; really feels like family! The owners also donate to charitable events that they dont ask for recognition for.

Clean, well organized and friendly staff. I did get a bit of sticker shock when it came to meat, but we hadn't found the local walmart yet. They had all the Franz bread products except the keto bread, go figure. All in all a good quality store.

Everyone who works here is terrific. I shop here for my work, so I'm at Van's 2 or 3 times a week. If I have questions or need produce that's not out, they always help me right away. I get greeted several times. I've never had a problem with the food or selection. And they have the best donuts in town.

You feel like a friend to the working people. They always are so happy and kind

Good people and they do grocery store right. Some may say this is pricier than most bigger groceries you'll find. Probably true, but they treat local supply very well, and their meat dept is second to none and will go out of their way for you.

Good place for food and check cashing

This store is a little bit run down/older looking, but have very friendly staff, and excellent produce. It had that older small-town feel, with a relaxed environment. The deli is small, but what they produce is good.

If there was an option to do no stars on this one I would give it a zero star their customer service there is not very good at all I tried cashing my check there and they questioned me where I work over and over again made a huge deal about it and then threw my check at me and said we're not cashing this because I then asked what is the problem with you cashing my check I've been cashing my check here for years they got mad at me and the next time I went to cash my check they said I couldn't cash it until I talk to the manager I said are you serious and they said yep we can no longer cash your check because you were rude I said I wasn't rude I only asked a question and then they just walked away from me had nothing else to say to me and I was talking to them and they just ignored me I used to love going to vans to shop now I won't even shop there this is the worst grocery store in town now and I hate Walmart that says a lot

Lpcally owned, they dont move stuff around all the time, and most of the staff are really nice. Getting a little pricey on a lot of different things lately though.

It used to have a good variety of food that was different from other local grocery stores. Now they just carry what many other stores do. Only the deli chicken is still good and different.

The best bakery ever. The doughnut selection is amazing.

I'm a frequent shopper here because it's half way between work and home for me. Comes in handy when my vehicle is broke down and it's nice that they are open 24 hours a day which is also helpful due to my work schedule. Store is always clean and staff is always helpful and friendly.

I make a special trip to Vans every time they have the vegi bag sale. They have excellent produce and exceptional personnel. It is slso they're curse because parking and a crowd inside can be an issue.

The employees definitely are engaged with the customers. Asked me if I was finding everything ok. Very attentive cashiers pulling customers to a vacant line. Definitely miss the helpful grocery stores.

Van's has a great meat department with consistently good quality meat. Their donuts are some of the best in town. The people here are always friendly. The building itself is older, but always clean.

One of the last best grocery stores in Helena. Pumpkin scares are to die for! Hope this business stays afloat because it's a great family store! Meat selection can't be beat!!!

Sell Montana raised beef and Pork, Competitive prices, great customer service, mediocre parking

Locally owned and operated, this grocery store has a good selection. Employees are treated well and this shows with their long term dedication to their jobs. Meat department is the best in town in (my personal opinion)! They also have hot ready to eat food every day. Valley bank has a spot in the store, but if they are closed Vans will cash your check for you for a $3 charge, but they give you a $3 off coupon so if you need to shop then it balances back out.

Always great staff and great doughnuts. Tonie in the bakery always has a smile on her face.

For a local store they are over priced

Good price, good meat selection, no bare shelves. Very full of everything.

The parking situation here sucks but I love the fact that it's locally owned so I shop there often. Can be pricy.

Some of the staff can be kind, but my last experience here was very unpleasant to say the least. You can tell some days that the staff is stressed out and in return they take it out on customers. There was an employee about 55-60 years old with short blonde kinda wavy hair that was walking quickly around the corner and almost ran into me and she shook her head at me and yelled "God" aggressively as if it were my fault she wasn't looking, granted she seemed very stressed and it was busy, but still, just because you're having a bad day doesn't mean you can be rude to people that didn't do anything, especially your customers.

Diverse service offerings and good prices

I was at Van's Thritway the cashier at the customer service counter was very rude I had 4 items do you think that person would put the items in a bag NO. The lady turned and walked away.

They are always helpful. From kindly showing you where things are to quick checkout, the prices are right to shop here. Also, their produce is always the best.
